I had just completed my 4th semester and I had my summer break ahead of me. I was planning to do an internship to make something fruitful out of my vacation. I was looking for internship opportunities around social media, and that’s when I found an internship posting open at ACT360. I applied and after a few days, I got an interview call. I was extremely happy that I got selected for the position of Digital Marketing Intern.
The beginning
The very first day was a day with mixed feelings. Well, this was going to be my first day at my first job. I arrived a bit early, then I was asked to join the daily morning meeting which was called Huddle. I was made to introduce myself, then the team shared their good news and updates. I was welcomed with an open heart. My onboarding tasks were assigned and I was asked to complete some training.
The first day felt quite overwhelming; new people, new job, new place. It took me a few days to get used to the job environment and become familiar with everything at the job.
The fun environment
Before starting to work I always thought that offices had environments that were super strict, formal, and just all about work; but ACT360 was different. As I got used to working at ACT360, I got more familiar with the environment, people, and work culture. Be it the fun daily huddle, the in-office parties, or the environment that quenched my thirst for learning.
The working Sundays were not much about working. Sundays were super fun, we used to have lunch outside together with teammates, and after coming back from lunch we would play fun games together. The working sphere was not hectic at all.
The work journey
As the days went by, I was assigned various tasks. Each work assigned to me as a digital marketing intern was an opportunity to learn something new. Be it writing blogs, brainstorming ideas for future content, researching what to write or what to make, scheduling posts, or writing SEOs, all these tasks taught me something new, improved my existing skills, and built my knowledge of marketing. These tasks together acted like building blocks in learning the fundamentals of digital marketing.
I even got the chance to represent the company at career fair which was really fun.
However, these tasks were never hectic or daunting, rather they were very manageable. I was given one task at a time so I could put my 100% on it. These tasks became more enjoyable once I got the hang of them. If I ever got stuck doing a task or did not know how to do it the right way, I always had my superb mentors and supervisors who would guide me.
Bidding Goodbye
As the final day of my internship came closer, I started to feel a little sad as I did not want to leave my team of superstars in ACT360. Even though I was here for a relatively short period, I was very much bonded with my teammates and work environment.
On the last day, I was feeling sad as I was already attached to my work here. But as all good things come to end so did my journey here at ACT360. I wrote an email with a farewell message and I also expressed my gratitude to the ACT360 family.
ACT360 will always hold a special place in my heart, I will forever cherish all the wonderful memories I made here. I appreciate all their guidance and support I received during my internship journey. I gathered a lot of experience and knowledge working here which I believe would be very fruitful in building my career.
Thank you ACT360 for everything.
Keep doing awesome things.
